Situated just steps from Kings Park and the Tamar River, Leisure Inn Penny Royal is a charming heritage hotel offering unique accommodation full of character. Available accommodation ranges from standard rooms with two single beds all the way up to fully equipped three bedroom apartments. All the units have amenities such as flat screen TV’s and work desks, with the apartments also having separate bedrooms and living/dining areas and of course fully equipped kitchens. Reception is open limited hours and can assist with tours, transfers, laundry and much more. Motorists will find off street parking available onsite. The Kings Bridge Bar and Restaurant is the in-house dining option. It is housed in a gorgeous restored stone building, has an authentic tavern atmosphere and serves hearty traditional meals. The CBD is just a couple of minutes walk from Leisure Inn Penny Royal, while what is perhaps the city’s prime attraction, Cataract Gorge, being less than a mile away.
A fair number of guests travelling in the winter months were happy to be able to report that, despite the heritage nature of the building, it seems that proper heating has been installed. The rooms were said to be especially warm and cosy.
