With its simply outstanding views out over the Mediterranean, Le Agavi hotel is a delightfully sensual hotel built into the cliff face and offering luxury accommodation suspended in mid-air. The rooms are all individually decorated, feature al the modern conveniences you’ll need for a great stay and most importantly have private balconies with incredible sea views. The star of the show at Le Agavi hotel is undoubtedly its pool and terrace, seeming suspended in mid-air above the Mediterranean. Onsite parking is available and a shuttle is offered to the airport and popular spots throughout Campania. La Sera is the elegant in-house restaurant, with the satellite Remmese Restaurant operating at the hotel’s private beach club. The main attraction is surely the hotel itself, but guests who can drag themselves away from the mesmerising views will find Positano’s famous beach and ferry terminal less than a mile from Le Agavi hotel Hotel.
Of course, nobody travels to Positano and expects anything less than fantastic views. But it seems that even high expectations were exceeded here. It is safe to say that, as luxurious as the hotel itself was, many guests considered it as something of a sophisticated conduit, through which the incredible views out over the Med simply flowed into their consciousness.
Guests weren't only impressed with the main hotel, but were very pleasantly surprised to find a beach club, just a dramatic funicular ride down the hill, that not only provided great sun beds and related services, but included a restaurant that served very good food as well.Med simply flowed into their consciousness.
These two amenities often seemed to go together. Motorists were very happy that the hotel had onsite parking, something of a rarity in Positano. Many also felt that once they had parked their car they could quite easily get out to the town and other sites using the hotel's complimentary shuttle.
Though mattress firmness is, notoriously, a matter of personal preference, a bit too many guests complained about their beds being uncomfortable to really put it down to just this factor. It seems the mattresses may indeed be a little uncomfortable.
Many guests seemed to feel that the room décor really let the hotel down. They felt that it was both too old fashioned and too simple for the class of hotel, and could definitely do with a quick refresh, at the very least.
A remarkable number of guests reported missing having a fitness centre available, perhaps wishing that they had some way to burn off some of those delicious Italian meals they had been enjoying.
