The Nostoni Restaurant is a sophisticated venue and serves a wide variety of top quality cuisine. The Jin Bar serves up great drinks and a spectacular view over the water. A variety of transportation options, including helicopter and seaplane, are available to Lazzoni Hotel guests. The tourist heart of Istanbul is approximately 5.5 miles to the south.
Guests were clearly very impressed with the hotel's staff, saying they knew exactly how to deliver top quality customer service. In fact, many guests went out of their way to name specific staff members from various departments who they felt went “above and beyond” in providing excellent service.
Guests who had been allocated rooms with Golden Horn views were clearly very impressed. They mentioned that the views were somehow both dramatic and lovely, and left them in little doubt as to where exactly they were.
For unknown reasons, it was clear that many guests were not expecting much when it came to breakfast at the hotel, so they were very pleasantly surprised to be able to report that not only was the breakfast itself excellent, but that they could also enjoy fantastic views while enjoying it.
This was perhaps the most common complaint. The hotel simply is not in central Istanbul, but some distance to the north. Guests who wanted to see all the sights did say that it became a bit of a hassle to have to take a long taxi ride into the tourist heart every day, and may have been happier with a hotel closer to the action.
Many guests travelling in mid 2016 were very disappointed to discover that the hotel's boat, that would usually be able to ferry guests to central Istanbul in style, was not running. It was said that it was in need of repairs that the hotel did not seem keen to make.
A surprising number of guests commented on the minibar prices, saying they were simply astonishingly expensive and very poor value.
