Staying at the Sky Hotel is quite the social scene, and travelers who like to mix and mingle will feel quite welcome here. The 39 Degrees Lounge attracts a festive bunch with its bar, and guests have access to the heated outdoor pool with mountain view. People who have stayed here have said it's quite the fun, hip scene complete with a DJ spinning music.

Given that Aspen is all about skiing, guests of the Sky Hotel can help but rave about the prime location at the bottom of the mountain and steps from the gondola. Others like the “killer location” because it is super close to the Aspen Art Museum.

Whether it's the front desk, concierge, valet or housekeeper, the staffers of this hotel have been known to be quite friendly and helpful on many occasions.

Some unhappy guests have noted that the rooms here are less than spacious, even when they booked a Superior room. Others compared the accommodations to a prison cell. Apparently, plans are under way to eventually rebuild the entire building according to management.

While the Sky Hotel is known for having quite the party scene, some guests aren't too fond of the noise levels and think the insulation should be improved to prevent them from hearing people walking around and moving stuff in their rooms.

While the contemporary interiors add to the cool vibe, rooms can sometimes still miss the mark with old carpet and a dated feel. However, the hotel is eventually going to be rebuilt in the next few years.
