The Aldridge Gardens is around two miles and Oak Mountain Amphitheater is around five miles from the hotel. It is only 20 minutes from downtown Birmingham.

Running up 15 floors, the hotel accommodates 329 non smoking rooms. The rooms are plush with luxurious furnishings like signature mattresses and down comforters. The attractive floor-to-ceiling windows provide lovely views. The amenities supplied in the rooms have met with the approval of dermatologists. Every room features a large flat screen TV, coffee maker, refrigerator and iPod dock. Upgraded rooms have access to the lounge area with free breakfast and snacks. Suites add living or dining rooms.

The hotel features a spacious business center of 32000 square feet making it convenient for guests to hold large meetings and events. There is a fourth floor heated pool, hot tub and sauna. The hotel gives guests exclusive access to the Riverchase Country Club. The steakhouse and the tavern serve gourmet food and drinks. Shuttle service to the airport is complimentary and free Wi-Fi is provided.

The parking charges are high and the business center also carries charges. Guests do not find the hotel budget friendly.

Guests booking through travel sites find the procedure for Check-ins and Check-outs tedious and delayed. The reservation is not noted and confirmation with the travel site takes terribly long making the experience cumbersome. The front desk staff is rude as well.

The coffee maker has roaches in it, power outage occurs frequently and the refrigerator does not get cool leading to food spoilage. Toilet flush does not function properly.
