Members of staff are great and regularly go beyond the call of duty - just to ensure that you are as happy as possible. It's pet friendly too, although they do charge a pet tariff.

Most rooms have lots of space. Nothing cramped about them. If lucky, your room can be the equivalent of two rooms in another hotel. The elevator is fast, so no hanging around waiting for it to get to your floor.

It's close to Intrust Bank Arena, Century II and a host of other attractions, shops, bars and restaurants.

There's a lot of fried food - not the healthiest. The bar is a very friendly place to visit and relax. Breakfast times are carved in stone and inflexible. Not much comfort for those here to, say, run a marathon ... and arrive back exhausted, only to find breakfast is finished.

If there's a group in front of you at check in, prepare for a long wait. They don't appear to have extra staff to cope with the pressure and the poor soul on duty just has to cope and do his/her best.

It seems that some rooms fall below what is reasonably expected: small and dated; beds are old and uncomfortable and they seem to have given up trying to clean them properly. Communally, don't get too excited about jumping into the pool. Cleaning it after the winter closure isn't on their list of priorities, so it's green and slimey.
