Those who stayed said that the staff members were friendly and accommodating, and those working on the reception desk proved especially helpful.

The rooms at Wingate by Wyndham West Monroe were generally found to be clean and comfortable, although some guests did report some instances of finding their rooms in a less-than-perfect state upon arrival.

Some of those who stayed appreciated the free breakfast buffets, finding them to be perfect for their needs, but others found the hot options a little cold and the quality less than desirable.

Guests said there were a few issues with Wingate by Wyndham West Monroe's pool and fitness center, both of which have occasionally been closed. A few guests said the condition of the pool was poor, but others very much enjoyed taking a swim.

The hotel has been considered dated by some of those who stayed, with worn and marked carpet and furnishings and some mildewy smells in the corridors, but renovation was said to be underway at the time of writing in late 2015.

During particularly hot summer nights, some guests have said that the air conditioning was not as strong as it should have been, which made for uncomfortably hot sleeps.
