Hotel Washington (Rome, Italy)

Situated right next to Rome's Termini mainline and metro stations, this basic hotel offers guests excellent access to the sights of Rome and beyond. Those pressed for time - especially guests with early trains and/or those linking up with tour packages at the station - found this central location to be incredibly convenient. In addition, most commented that - in comparison to similarly located properties - this hotel offered excellent value for money in the heart of Rome. Many were also pleased to find a vast array of restaurants and eateries in very close proximity of this property. This point was something that only added to the value-for-money ratio.

Guests were pleased to find that, on the whole, rooms at this city centre property were clean and well-maintained.

The staff here are known for their helpful and even kind nature. Many reported assistance with directions, luggage and where possible, even a late check-out. Finally, while Italian breakfasts are on the lighter side, most were pleased at the overall quality of the morning offerings here.

Rooms here are small, with the en-suite bathroom units themselves being uncomfortably tight for space. The tired, dated décor exacerbated the close, oppressive feel of rooms.

Many struggled with this property's Wi-Fi, which was found to be weak and sluggish. This particular amenity seemed to be a consistent source of frustration for guests, who struggled to maintain a decent connection.

Those in street-facing rooms reported that noise - from early morning trams and buses, passers-by and the bar below the property - was a problem and did have an impact on sleep quality.
