Villa Godenano Hotel is an elegant country house in the very heart of the Chianti Classico; carefully restored, it kept traditional tuscan architectonical fetaures. The villa is surrounded by a centuries-old park of about two hectares, taken care to the tiniest detail, inside which there is a nice little pond with turtles and fish, an ancient fountain with water-lilies and a little “madonna” dating back to the last century. It's an ideal reinvigorating break, while walking through its imposing trees and breathing the pure tuscan countryside air. The whole structure has been refurbished in a classical style, in an old fashioned taste which gives the feeling of living in the past. Curtains, armchairs, and couches, both in the common areas and in the bedrooms, are all in damask fabrics. All bathoroms inside the bedrooms have very particular decorative details,and they all vary one from the other one. This romantic mansion in the heart of the tuscan contryside, is the ideal place to spend marvellous holidays surrounded just by the silence of nature. You will find this mansion in a quiet area few minutes drive from the historical centre of Castellina in Chianti (about 600 mt.) , 15 km. from Monteriggioni, small medieval hamlet,; 18 km. from Colle di Val d'Elsa, home town for crystal, 26 km. from Siena, the renowned town of Palio, the worldfamous horse race; 32 km. from San Gimignano, famous for its towers,and UNESCO heritage; 38 km. from Certaldo, town of Boccaccio; 46 km. from Volterra, world famous town of alabaster but not only; 48 km. from Florence, cradle of Renaissance, 105 km. from Pisa and its leaning tower. The wonderful pool is a real paradise corner, thanks to the panoramic view over the gentle, rolling Chianti hills and the tuscan vineyards. It's fully equipped with sun-ombrellas, sun-beds, tables and chairs. Along the pool you will taste fantastic drinks, extracted fruit and vegetable juices and fresh beverages. Within the italian garden , you will find a tennis court, a children playground and a small orchyard with aromatic plants that we use for our cooking classes. From the second floor you will enjoy a breath -taking view thanks to the panoramic terrace. All common areas and bedrooms are equipped with a free Wi-Fi connection; our guests have at their total disposal an underground private parking and a cosy reading-room with an ancient fire place where , in the evening ,guests will find a wide selection of teas . The hotel has 12 different kind of bedrooms, they are all equipped as it follows; Wi-fi, flat-screen TV; bathroom with shower or tub; hairdryer; blackout curtains; free toiletries; wide windows with view over the Chianti or over the villa garden. All floors are in parquet, carpeted or in cotto. A rich buffet for breakfast is waiting you to begin the day: pastry, jams, yoghurts salami, cheeses, eggs, fresh season fruits, cookies, cereals, fruit juices. milk, coffee, teas etc. Upon request we also have products for people who suffer from food allergies, and/or coeliac disease. Buffet breakfast is served between 8.00 and 10.00 am. in the room at ground floor with direct access to the garden. We also have a light lunch service with cold dishes, salamis and cheeses, along with an excellent selection of tuscan wines. Upon request we can also offer: transfer service from/to airport; car rental;bykes and scooters excursions in the stunning tuscan countryside; various kind of spa treatments; yoga classes; daily guided tours around the magnificent tuscan territory; Chianti wine-tours; wine-classes of first and second level with visits to the vineyards and cooking classes that will make you discover all secrets of the local tradition dishes. The hotel is not only for couples and families, but also for congresses, business meetings and small cerimonies, in the small conference room which can host a maximum of 40 people and a wide dining-room which can host up to 30/35 people. Moreover, the charming park around the villa is ideal for cerimonies, weddings and other events.
