The suites (*eg: at Bill and Denise Andrew Hall) are really spacious and much better than you might expect. The bathroom is en-suite here, too.
The location is great and very handy for shops, restaurants etc. Accommodation is generally impressively clean and represents good value. Because there are several halls of residence, all with different facilities, it's worth taking a little time to ensure that your accommodation contains everything that you need.
It's a bit like one of those TV shows that rely on the public doing silly things. Depending upon your choice of accommodation, your room may be several floors up - with a slow lift. So, you pull up in the car and then have a 15-minute time limit to unload, gallop up the stairs carrying luggage, come back down and then park the car. Phew!
The address they provide is that for the main building. Accommodation, though, is in a number of other buildings that are scattered around the site. They could easily improve this situation. They do tell you - but sharing the bathroom facilities with other rooms is a bit of a reality check when you're used to en-suite.
Some say that the beds are hard and uncomfortable - but that's a matter of taste. Rooms can be a bit ‘cell-like' due to the ‘breeze block' wall surfaces. This, though, is an occasional, rather than a common, ‘moan'.
