The trolley stops directly in front of the hotel, so if you can't walk to your destination, you can easily hop on that. The Farmer's Market is a local favorite (take the trolley or drive to that) and it's about eight blocks (or a fifteen-minute walk) to the excitement of central downtown SLO. Pappy McGregor's Pub is just steps away for the lazier crowd. Grounds are nicely maintained and the continental breakfast is basically adequate, although seating is somewhat limited in the dining area. You can eat in your own room if you'd rather. Disabled-accessible features are good. Very soft, comfy beds.

The outdoor pool is lovely in warm weather. Very clean and inviting.

Cooperative and efficient staff will assist you and ensure your comfort from arrival to departure. Don't hesitate to ask them for suggestions or directions.

Some have expressed dissatisfaction over booking a queen and receiving a double. Sheets are worn, bedspreads stained and towels very shabby. Springs seem to be poking through some of the mattresses.

Several guests have reported having been charged for a dog fee when they had absolutely no dog in their room at any time. The manager has insisted the evidence of dog hair was found in the rooms and stood firmly in his charges when disputed. Some of these charges are not small fees, either - they are up to $100 damage fees - and surveillance cameras were referenced but found inconclusive evidence so the charges were still in place. Corporate offices were contacted without success.

Plenty of bugs if you enjoy that sort of thing - bed bugs, spiders, flies, etc. Some guests took pictures of their evidence.
