Hotel Sands Inn & Suites (San Luis Obispo, USA)

The rooms were reported to be clean and are equipped with helpful items like a coffee maker, a small fridge and a closet. Guests also liked having the heated pool and the hot tub available to relax in, and those bringing their furry family members along were delighted to receive special doggie baskets.

Guests appreciated the fact that they were close to public transportation, shopping and dining opportunities. They noted that you can easily walk downtown, which is a mile away, and that the vicinity to the highway makes travel throughout the area a breeze.

Guests appreciated the front-desk staff's efficiency during the check-in process and their friendly and helpful demeanor.

As some guests pointed out, the rooms could use some attention, as there is insufficient lighting and the décor is old-fashioned. However, while the furniture may be a bit worn, most guests did still find it acceptable. The one area that received the most attention was the bathrooms with low water pressure and grout in need of replacement being the main concerns.

The complimentary breakfast was noted by some guests to include runny eggs and not enough of a selection.

A few guests noted that the air-conditioning units were quite loud at times, which was mostly a problem at night though. Others recommended not getting rooms on the ground floor, since the foot traffic, upstairs guests' activities and the cleaning crew's movements added to the noise level.
