Hotel Towneplace Suites Wilmington Wrightsville Beach (Wilmington, USA)

This hotel has a great central locations. It's close to the beach and a huge mall is only minutes away, as is downtown Wilmington. Numerous shops and restaurants are just across the street and within easy walking distance.

The staff at the hotel is so knowledgeable about the area and is extremely helpful with dining and entertainment suggestions, making it convenient and easy for travelers new to the area. Also, the customer service is excellent. The welcome at reception is warm and efficient and the staff responds quickly and friendly to concerns.

The amenities at this hotel go a step above most chains. The decor is nice throughout and there are things to do at the hotel besides the pool and hot tub. Reception serves coffee and tea all day and hosts free appetizer and drink events several times weekly.

The housekeeping staff is slow to have rooms ready at check-in and does not provide daily cleaning, even for guests staying for an extended period of time. Also, once cleaned, some rooms still show signs of small details left undone. Throughout the hotel, the carpets are routinely dirty and trash is littering the grounds.

This hotel does not keep up with the standard quality of service and atmosphere that guests expect with the Marriott label. This hotel just isn't on par with others in the brand name chain. The rooms aren't as luxurious and some are in need of refurbishing.

At this hotel, the smaller rooms mean a smaller chance of a pleasant stay. The studios are tiny throughout and have undersized fixtures and features. There is no soundproofing. Although the hotel is advertised as long-term, these small inconveniences add up to big annoyances.
