For easy photo opportunities, next door was the Southernmost Point marker where continental US territory reaches its southern limit. Many visitors welcomed the location at the quieter end of Duval Street only a few blocks from downtown dining and entertainment options. Reviewers also loved the proximity of Key West's beaches.

Reviewers generally liked the customer service, describing staff as friendly, attentive, helpful and full of local knowledge. Being a smaller hotel, many guests felt there was a personal touch. The continental breakfast reportedly went down well with most visitors.
