Guests loved the clean rooms and comfortable beds. They were especially impressed with the four-poster beds and the stunning views across the rooms. There was ample tea and coffee within the room. They liked the spacious attic room. They also loved the fact that rooms were cleaned every day. The towels supplied were very thick and fluffy.

Every guest appreciated the good vibe created by the traditional Edwardian costume worn by the staff while serving the delightful fare. Breakfast was well cooked and portion size was ample. They also loved the packed lunches. Guests described the host as cheerful, friendly, helpful and very accommodative. Their mobility as well as dietary needs were catered to with a smile. They were always made to feel welcome.

All guests welcomed the themed events held at night in the restaurant. The actors were also brilliant. The wedding venue with the surrounding garden rendered a uniqueness to their special day. They found the rates to be reasonable and excellent value for money.

Most guests felt that the rooms were dated and in urgent need of an update. The carpets were worn out, cabinet edges chipped off and ceiling paint scratched. The windows in the rooms opened inside. The bathroom windows are also in a bad state. They pointed out that there was a big crack in the shower tray of some rooms. They were not satisfied with the small size of the bathrooms. The toiletries in the bathrooms were not worth mentioning. There is nowhere to hang wet towels.
