Guests love that the hotel is located right in Carmarthen Centre. It is convenient for shops and sight seeing. It is also fairly close to the nearby university, making it an ideal stop for those visiting university students.
Many guests commented that they were surprised by how clean the hotel was. The sheets are generally spotless and even the carpets are hoovered regularly. Some guests said that it was the cleanest hotel they had stayed in for years. So, you should expect top quality housekeeping services when you stay.
Hotel guests all praise the traditional Welsh breakfasts served at the hotel. Many of them also loved the pub/restaurant food served there later in the day. Many guests commented that it was nice to start their days with good meals without having to go anywhere
There is no on site parking. Furthermore, the parking area nearest to the hotel charges a fee, is not within view of the hotel, and fills up quickly. Many guests said that they felt being unable to see their cars was inconvenient at best. Some considered it to be a security problem.
Guests reported several issues relating to the bathrooms at the hotel, including threadbare towels and inconsistent hot water. Guests who stayed in certain rooms reported that the windows overlooked the road and didn't have sufficient tinting or window coverings for privacy. A few guests also mentioned that they had to share a bathroom or access their private bathroom by crossing a hallway.
Due to the bar/pub atmosphere and the busy road outside, this hotel is often rather loud, even at night.
