The Palm at Playa is an attractive four star property in the heart of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The hotel’s many excellent amenities and central location recommend themselves. Young people over the age of 14 are welcome here. There are 69 stylish rooms which includes lofts and suites. Rooms feature contemporary decor, flat screen TV and air conditioning. Guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi. There is a rooftop pool with lovely views, beach umbrellas and all day casual dining. There is a gym and spa inspired by holistic Mayan traditions. 24 hour business centre and airport shuttle facilities are other hotel features. The Palm at Playa hotel has its own rooftop restaurant and swim up bar. The Coco Bongo is a short walk from the hotel. Playa del Carmen Maritime Terminal and Central Square are also close by. The hotel rooms are attractive and comfortable. The main attraction of the hotel appears to be the rooftop pool with Jacuzzi, which is very clean, attractive and has a lovely setting with beautiful views. The hotel restaurant and swim up bar are also located at the roof top where guests can enjoy light, casual meals all day.
The hotel only permits young adults and guests over the age of 14. As such it has a fun vibe, and an enjoyable atmosphere that the friendly and helpful staff has helped create.
Guests pointed out that the hotel policy meant that it is not suitable for families with young kids. Also guests expecting to swim at the roof top pool of The Palm at Playa were disappointed. The pool is not really for swimming and was deemed too small for this by some guests.
