You will be greeted with welcome drinks and snacks upon check-in. Immediately, you will also receive tickets to a complimentary buffet breakfast at Ipanema Grill and access to two beach clubs, Coco Maya Beach Club & Lounge and Indigo Beach. In the evening, enjoy a complimentary reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres.

The rooms are pure minimalist elegance and always kept in a very clean condition. Your room will have a private patio with hammocks, ad all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. Guests also liked that the rooms had plenty of outlets.

With blocks away from the ocean and the downtown city life, Magic Blue could not have a better location. Everything you need is walking distance from the hotel. Even though its just steps away from the main streets, the hotel feels tucked away and private.

For the most part, guests found their stay to be peaceful and quiet. The only problem may be the church bells, which ring every morning rather early. There were also several complaints about music coming from the beach clubs on the weekends. If this may be a problem for you, request a room on the south side, away from the street.

The Wi-Fi is complimentary but tends to be slow at times. The signal is unstable throughout the hotel.

The hotel seems to have a lighting issue. During the day, it's too bright. During the night, it's not bright enough. The curtains on the windows are too thin, yielding too much light, especially in the early mornings. The lamps in the room are too dim and there aren't enough of them to illuminate the room completely.
