It's a safe and secure atmosphere at the bed and breakfast, just as comfortable for single travellers as for couples and families. Staff are easily approachable and always ready to lend a hand or offer insider knowledge or advice about the city, transit, and other key parts of a holiday.

If you're sensitive to sounds, be aware that the front rooms pick up quite a bit of street noise. The walls are also thin enough to hear conversations throughout the hotel, as well as tellies, doors, and showers.

A makeover in cleanliness, fixtures, and aesthetics is recommended. The rooms are not always spotless and not always maintained well. Space is smaller than expected, and storage is also on the small side. The whole set-up, including bathrooms, would benefit from refurbishment.

Free Wi-Fi should be a given, and although the cost isn't huge, it's still insulting to have to pay for a signal. The telly remote also requires a fee, but that at least is refundable.
