This B& B is only a short walk away from many of the city's landmarks and attractions which the guests found very convenient as they didn't have to use their cars or public transport. Those who wanted to try the local restaurants and cafes were pleased to find plenty of diners in the vicinity as well as some nice shops and boutiques. .

The building dates back to the 19th century and still retains many original period features. Guests appreciated the traditional decor and the fact that the building is steeped in history. If you like the idea of stepping back in time and feeling part of a by-gone era then you will certainly enjoy your stay at Marshall House. .

Guests appreciated the laid-back and informal atmosphere as well as the opportunity to socialize with others. The complimentary wine and cheese evenings in the parlour were thoroughly enjoyed by many who stayed here.

The views from some of the windows have been described as being far from picturesque as guests were disappointed to find that their rooms overlooked the parking lot whilst others had views of the adjoining building's walls. .

Guests whose rooms were located at the front of the property objected to the level of noise which could be heard from the busy street below. Many were reluctant to open their windows and balcony doors as the noise prevented them from getting a good night's sleep. .

As this is an old building guests reported being disturbed by creaky floor boards and footsteps from the rooms above them. The walls were also described as quite thin as many could hear noise from the adjoining rooms. .
