Hotel The Grove at Pismo Beach (Pismo Beach, USA)

Guests say the pool area is the main reason to visit this hotel. The pool itself is huge, the hot tub doesn't disappoint and the waterfall makes it seem like your own private paradise. Around the pool, you'll also find sitting areas, lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas, all surrounded by palm trees.

The complimentary breakfast does not disappoint. It is filling and tasty, with a variety of hot and cold options. Unfortunately, the breakfast does close early. Double check the time so you don't sleep in.

While not on the beachfront, the hotel is a short drive to the ocean and the Pismo Beach Pier. Shopping and dining at the Prime Outlets of Pismo Beach is just across the street, within walking distance.

Leaky toilets, broken shower heads and non-functioning air conditioners are all problems guests have reported. Clearly, some renovations are in order. Additional issues include disconnected phones, bad TVs and a musty smell in the rooms. Poor housekeeping, with lack of attention to detail, adds to the neglected image. However, the management will attempt to fix any problem you may run into or switch you into a better room.

Guests have complained about traffic noise and the loud train horn. You may also hear your neighbors as the walls aren't soundproofed well. The leaky toilet has also kept a few guests up at night. Earplugs are recommended as a precaution.

Several guests complained that the complimentary Wi-Fi disconnects easily and the overall signal is poor.
