Situated in a convenient position just off the I-45, Hotel La Quinta Inn The Woodlands North is a charming renovated property offering comfortable accommodation and terrific leisure amenities. The rooms are newly renovated and are looking smart and modern. Each features “Smart” TV with plug and play technology, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, coffee maker, work desk, telephone, hairdryer, clothes iron and alarm clock. Those keeping up with their workout routine on the road will really appreciate the outdoor pool and fully equipped fitness center. There is ample free parking on sight, and the hotel, like others in the La Quinta Group, is very pet-friendly. A simple breakfast of waffles, bread, muffins, fresh fruit, bagels and unlimited beverages is served every morning. There are a couple of good restaurants within walking distance, including highly rated Casa Medina, the place to go for great Mexican food. Downtown Houston is 30 miles to the south.
Though the hotel is some distance from Houston, where a good number of guests were headed, this didn’t really seem to bother many. They explained that the hotel is in a very convenient spot to access the I-45, and once on this highway it was a relatively simple matter to drive in to Houston, at least outside of rush hour.
Guests were generally very happy with their rooms, but even those who found a small issue or two, usually conceded that the rooms were very clean. Guests felt that housekeeping did a great job keeping the rooms in tip top shape.
Guests mentioning value at all where in overwhelming agreement that they had received excellent value for money. They essentially felt that they paid a relatively low room-rate for a clean room in a great location.
Though not mentioned often, it was reported that the rooms are accessed by means of outdoor walkways. Of course this meant that they were exposed to the elements, so some guests didn’t enjoy using them when it was cold or windy.
Of course there was a price to pay for being in such a great position near the interstate. Guests in rooms facing the road mentioned that the sound of the cars streaming by could clearly be heard in their room, causing sleep difficulties for some.
Surprisingly, a number of guests traveling at very different times reported that the elevator was not working. This meant that some had to carry heavy bags up a few flights of stairs and of course was a very difficult situation for those with mobility issues.
