The menus at Latitudes restaurant match the excellent service and ocean views. Truly magnificent for lunch, dinner .. and for early morning breakfast.

OK, you're only a few hundred yards from the mainland but the feeling is one of remoteness and relaxation. You can access the pool whenever you want - day or night - the sunsets are incredible and .. 'The Sun Also Rises[': *it was a haunt of writer, Ernest Hemingway!

If, for instance, you need wheelchair access, the staff will sort it out - just for you! You need the refrigerator stocking up? Give the list to the front desk and it's as good as done! The restaurant quality and service matches everything else here and the result is .. magic!

If it's to live up to its own publicity, there needs to be an urgent program of refurbishment. Currently, things aren't disastrous; just OK ... and 'OK' isn't good enough. The place is living off its reputation + if they don't invest to take full advantage of this, it will soon be a lost treasure, sunk without trace.

It might be a private island with an 'idyllic' tag, but it draws huge numbers of visits from the mainland ... a few yards away! They tend to choke up the restaurant so, even with the goodwill of the staff, that romantic meal for two might remain a dream.

There's nothing to do and you become mesmerized by the ferry timetable and the link to mainland activities. In desperation, you turn to the WiFi but, surprise-surprise, that doesn't work and nobody here knows how to fix it.
