Guests were pleased to find that they did not have to venture too far afield to find somewhere to eat as there is a cafe right next door to the property. Many also found it handy being a short walk away from the centre of town and the popular Main Street with its numerous shops, bars and cafes.
The rooms have been described as being clean with fresh crisp sheets and hygienic floors and surfaces. Many appreciated having a wide range of mod-cons in their rooms which included microwaves, fridges as well as up-to-date air-conditioning units.
The owners were described as being very accommodating and often willing to assist the guests with their various queries and requests. Guests said that they received helpful tips and advice from their hosts with regards to where to eat and what to see in the area. Those who came here to celebrate their anniversary or birthday said they received special treatment which they greatly appreciated.
Guests mentioned that the decor in the rooms was looking somewhat tired as they objected to the old-fashioned furniture and tatty-looking upholstery. Some also noticed mouldy grouting in the bathrooms and cracked tiles.
Several plumbing-related issues were reported by the guests ranging from weak water pressure through to temperature problems as the water was said to run from hot to cold intermittently. Some also objected to slow draining sinks and showers.
Several guests mentioned that the complimentary Wi-Fi access was rather weak whilst others objected to the poor quality of the linens and towels . Others reported that they could hear things from adjoining rooms due to poor soundproofing.
