If you crave peace and quiet but don't want to be too far removed from the shops, restaurants and attractions of Fredericksburg, this could be the place for you. The town's main drag is one block away.

Great amenities

For some guests, it was the little things that really made this property special. First and foremost, everyone loved the pool and hot tub areas and it's no surprise to learn that these were especially popular with those with young families. Next, we have not just free coffee and soda in the lobby, but free hot cookies 24/7. For many, these small touches really made for a memorable stay.

By all accounts, the staff here are professional and friendly, going out of their way to offer assistance - and of course those delicious hot cookies - as and when needed.

Refurb needed - and noted

At the time of writing, it seems that this property is due to be renovated. With widespread reports of dim in-room lighting and peeling linoleum in bathrooms, many guests will be grateful to hear that help is at hand for this serviceable but somewhat dated property.

Bouncy beds and flat pillows

Unfortunately, a number of guests described their mattresses here as 'springy' and 'bouncy'. This of course had an impact on their night's rest and overall stay. Additionally, a fair few were disappointed in the quality of the pillows, which seemed to be more flat than fluffy.

While breakfast is served in a historic out-building, many felt that things were a bit of a tight squeeze. Not only was there a lack of tables and chairs here, but some commented that the day's most important meal deserves to be offered in a slightly larger space.
