Hotel Sunday House Inn and Suites (Fredericksburg, USA)

This is an excellent location situated on the main street in quiet downtown Fredericksburg. Drive across the entryway paving stones and right to your own door. The pools are lovely and popular. The on-site daily breakfast is a classic continental spread with good coffee.

Some were thrilled to find little bags of treats and brochures of local things to do had been left in their rooms for them. Very clean and larger rooms than most expected, these units have swinging doors between living and sleeping/bathing areas. Firm beds and pillows, flat screen televisions and decent air conditioning. In-room refrigerators and microwaves are convenient.

Friendly, helpful staff provide excellent customer service and the check-in process is simple.

Some reported their air conditioners shut off every half hour, making a very loud sound. Others noted an onslaught of crickets entered their rooms from unknown entrance points which chirped noisily throughout the nighttime hours.

Some noted their room wasn't clean, had hairs in coffee makers and on the telephone, carpeting was perpetually damp, and a strange odor was observed throughout. Wi-Fi was slow with poor connectivity. Insects were found in various areas of rooms. Air conditioning worked, but the air was poorly circulated. One guest noted his room key was able to open all the rooms in the hotel. Upon receiving a different key, he reported he was still able to continue to open all the rooms he tried.

Some had trouble parking on busier nights and found the overflow parking area to be very poorly lit. The hotel has new pool facilities for which they charge additional fees - but on days the pool is reserved for parties, the guests may only swim in the old pool.
