There is a free ski shuttle bus that stops right in front of the hotel which is a big plus. Guests say they enjoy great walks along the Yampa River, which runs for a few miles into and beyond Steamboat.

Guests say that they love lounging in the lobby of the hotel in front of the fire admiring the lovely views. They also delight in the outdoor hot tub, which they say is just large enough and when it snows, it adds to the experience and takes it several levels higher.

Most guests say that the rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. The service is friendly and warm. Guests say that they liked having the use of a waffle maker at breakfast time, which made them have a variety in taste and have fun preparing them too.

Some guests say that they are allotted a single room after having booked a double room. They say that breakfast which is mentioned while booking as available is not. To top it all the staff was unapologetic and guests say that they checked out early after the series of faults.

For so many guests parking was an issue as there are not many parking spaces and hence the lot gets filled up quickly. Some guests say that the walls are too thin and they could hear neighbors talking in the nights.

Several guests say that though the breakfast is good, they would have liked more variety, yoghurt and fruit. They say that they have the option of buying burrito but they are unavailable at the end of the season.
