Check with reservations if an event is scheduled at the same time as your stay. If so, you may not receive as prompt attention as you'd like or should. The staff often has difficulty managing everyone in a quick and detailed manner.

If you don't do well with steps and the ground floor rooms have already been reserved, then you may want to reconsider your travel dates. The stairs can be tough on mobility, or even if you have heavy luggage.
