Spread across three separate buildings, Spinnakers Brewpub and Guesthouses offers comfortable accommodation a short distance away from the airport as well as local amenities. The five en-suites in the Victorian building have private patios, wooden furniture and floors and come equipped with flat-screen televisions and jet-tubs. The self-contained bungalow has a private garden, a fully-equipped kitchen and a separate living area. The spacious suites have either full kitchens or kitchenettes as well as fire places and separate living areas. Guests staying at Spinnakers Brewpub and Guesthouses can relax in the private courtyard whilst admiring the views as well as purchase their daily papers at the on-site newsstands. The guest house is situated in a peaceful residential area in close proximity to the coastal path which guests found very convenient. Many enjoyed walking along the water's edge to the centre of town which is only a short distance away. Those who were not keen on walking found it handy having a bus stop nearby.
During their stay, guests were given beer tasting vouchers which many thoroughly appreciated as they were able to sample an array of flavours at the on-site gastro pub. Manly also liked the fact that the continental breakfasts were complimentary as well as being able to park their vehicles on the premises free of charge.
The food served at the on-site gastro pub was said to be of good quality as many said that the dishes were full of flavour and prepared using fresh local produce. The menus were said to be extensive and catered for various tastes and dietary requirements. Guests said that the wonderful views of the harbour from the restaurant added to the positive dining experience.
Guests were disappointed to find that the amenities in their rooms were rather sparse with quite a few mentioning that their stay would have been more pleasant and comfortable if they had fridges in their en-suites as well as air-conditioning units.
Those who stayed at the guest house during the warmer months said that their rooms often felt uncomfortably warm as the fans provided were not adequate for cooling down their en-suites.
