Situated right on the beach-front, guests enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and easy location that the hotel provided, with views to the French coast.

The majority of guests to the Shakespeare Coastal Hotel agreed that the rooms and common areas were, for the most part, clean and tidy.

Free Wi-Fi is fast becoming a standard at hotels for guests to access their online travel documents and make travel plans and contact loved ones while away. Though the hotel does offer free Wi-Fi many guests felt it was not adequate, either too slow or with a weak signal.

Some guests said that their rooms suffered from varying temperatures, whether due to the thermostat not working or a lack of air conditioning, which made their stay a little less comfortable than expected.

While many of the guests agreed that the hotel was clean and tidy, others felt their room was in need of a refurbishment, with furnishings and facilities becoming tired and worn out.
