Guests have plenty of choice when it comes to choosing a sporting or leisure activity. There is an outdoor heated pool which is very popular with adults and children as well as a fitness centre and a tennis court. Many complimented the facilities on offer and said that they added to the enjoyment of their stay.
The food served at the on-site restaurant was said to be of very high quality and many guests appreciated the fresh, locally grown ingredients such as herbs and freshly caught fish. The waiting staff were described as attentive and knowledgeable hence the whole dining experience at the hotel was described by many as a treat.
The hotel is surrounded by extensive grounds which have been described as beautifully presented both during the day and in the evenings when candles are lit to illuminate the paths. Guests enjoyed spending time in the gardens, strolling around or sitting down and enjoying the views.
Some guests complained about not being able to sleep at night due to the traffic noise from the street below. This affected those guests whose rooms were at the front of the property and many objected to not being able to open their windows in the evening due to the intrusive noise.
The centre of St. Helier isn’t easily reachable on foot which meant that guests had to drive or catch a taxi into town. Some found the location quite remote as a car is needed in order to get to the beach and the nearest amenities.
Guests who stayed at the hotel during warmer weather complained about the lack of air-conditioning as their rooms became uncomfortably warm.
