Located right by Kensington and Shepherd’s Bush, guests found the location central to many of London’s favourite suburbs for good food and pub life. It’s also an easy access to the centre of London.

Many of the guests enjoyed the hotel’s hot English breakfast to start their day, served in the dining room.

The hotel’s staff are helpful and cheerful according to many of the guests, quick to offer local advice, help when there was a problem and a smile on entry.

Wi-Fi has fast become a standard in UK hotels, and with many guests relying on it to access personal or travel information and maintaining contact with friends, family and colleagues, it’s important to have high quality Wi-Fi. For a hotel selling itself on ‘executive rooms’, unfortunately, many guests found the weak or non-existent Wi-Fi a let down.

Despite their modern styling, rooms at the Shaftesbury in Kensington are quite small according to guests, who suggest beds could only just into rooms, while other furniture was very cramped.

Many of the guests had problems with facilities such as the heating or air conditioning, while others found issues in the bathroom with sinks and showers.
