Schlair is unique because it is on the mathematical "0" meridian of the Habsburg Empire which places us at the very center of modern Austria; one hour from Salzburg, two from Vienna and two and a half from Munich. Our B&B prices (House own bakery) make for unbeatable value. For long term guests we also offer apartments at even better rates so that Kremsmuenster can really be the hub for an extended Austrian stay. Especially for the individual traveller! This is a homey family-run hotel. Although our quaint building is some 800 years old, all rooms come with modern conveniences: a bath/shower, WC, hair dryer, satellite TV, a minibar, and a direct dial telephone. Four apartments have kitchens—ideal for families. There are 65 beds (11 single, 26 double; 8 as triple possibles.) We also work with another hotel to accommodate larger groups. Bus parking is available, and the co-owner professional chef prepares mouth-watering dishes using local ingredients. Special features include a cosy 400 year old tavern with an open hearth and an Orangerie with a baker’s breakfast buffet. House own Viennese Coffee shop for traditional bakers breakfast buffet.
