The four star Schachner Krone & Kaiserhof in Maria Taferl has a panoramic setting overlooking the Danube valley and the Alps. It is located right beside the pilgrimage church, and there is a history of an inn on this site dating back to the 17th century. The hotel now comprises two separate buildings, the Krone and the Kaiserhof, some 100 yards apart. The accommodation of 84 rooms is spread over both buildings, and all have en-suite facilities, satellite TV, phone safe and hairdryer. In the main building, the Krone are Basic, Balcony and Panorama rooms, while the Kaiserhof has Basic, Studios and Panorama rooms. Suite arrangements include Panorama Suites and “Genießer Zimmer": the Genießer Zimmer come with 2 bedrooms, or as a honeymoon suite with its own jacuzzi. The hotel makes the most of its location by having the main restaurant, the Donauterrasse, on the first floor of the Krone with large windows looking over the valley. On the roof is a sundeck and bar area, the Sky Lounge, together with an indoor solarium, pool, sauna and gym. In the park surrounding the Kaiserhof is an outdoor pool. There are also two smaller restaurants and 8 conference rooms for corporate events.
