Costa Calma lives up to its name, according to many guests. A favourite for older guests, especially out of season, it is relatively tranquil and there is not too much noise. This calm extends to the hotel itself.
On the whole guests found the staff very friendly and polite. They will welcome you with a smile and help you out as best as they can.
Opinions on the food varied from being excellent to poor. Attitudes seem to come down to your expectation levels in the end. If you're prepared for typical all-inclusive fayre you will not be let-down, however, if you insist on variety, you may feel bored with the repetitive choices.
A quiet ambiance is all well and good, but some guests would appreciate a bit of life. There is not a lot going on in the hotel in terms of entertainment. There's not even any music to get guests in the holiday mood and enjoy their cocktails by the pool! Even the resort of Costa Calma seems a bit subdued to many.
Some guests feel bugged not only by the amount of ants, flies and other insects in the room and the complex, but also by the nonchalant attitude of the staff when they complain about it.
