Club Hotel Drago Park is a huge all-inclusive resort with extensive facilities just a few minutes by shuttle bus from the beach. The 219 rooms are simply furnished, and all have balconies with pool views. They feature air conditioning, telephones, in-room safes, satellite TV’s and music systems. Of course the main feature of Club Hotel Drago Park is its massive pool terrace, where you’ll find all the sun beds and poolside bars and cafes you’d expect. There are also extensive sporting facilities, including squash, gym, sports fields and children’s playground. There is plenty of parking and a free shuttle bus to the beach. There is also an on—site nightclub. There are two buffet restaurants serving international cuisine. The pool terrace is used for lunch. The beach is just a short drive away, and there is a free shuttle provided. Fuerteventura Airport is 40 miles from the resort.
Several guests mentioned being pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Not only was it described as tasty, but guests also mentioned that the chefs seemed to mix things up a bit to make sure guest's palettes didn't get jaded. Also, there was the occasional luxury item that guests definitely weren't expecting.
It is very difficult to find any complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms. Many guests went out of their way to say how impressed they were by the standard of cleanliness.
Not only were no complaints about lack of sun beds easily found, but a couple of guests pointed out that they never had any problems with finding a bed, or with guest “reserving” them at 4:00 AM.
While they didn't seem to have any problem with the state of repair, several guests point out that the décor in the hotel is very dated. They believed it was long overdue for a revamp.
There seemed to be a few problems as far as entertainment was concerned. Firstly, guests mention that there wasn't much to begin with. Secondly, the resort is more popular with German and Dutch visitors, so English speaking visitors could not understand much of it. Finally, the Costa Calma is regarded as just that…calm. There doesn't seem to be much going on. It's best for a relaxing holiday
There seemed to have been a bit of confusion regarding the heating of the pool. Guests were certainly expecting it to be heated, but found that it wasn't. For those travelling in the cooler months this obviously meant it was unusable, even on a nice sunny day.
