Many visitors were enthusiastic about the service they received from the hotel personnel. They remarked the employees were amiable and hard-working, willing to resolve any query in a prompt fashion. The front desk and bar staff members in particular were given compliments by some guests. Others recalled the names of some of the hotel personnel, such was the impression they made on them. Most travellers were happy with the food that was served, stating the food had a great taste and was well cooked. Also, they remarked there was a wide range of food that was available.

A number of guests enjoyed using the swimming pool. They advised the pool was large and well maintained.

The night time activities at the hotel were criticised by some guests. They advised the entertainment lacked variety and wasn’t that exciting to watch. Some travellers even stated they slept through the entertainment.

This is something that the hotel needs to address. There were some visitors to Royal Palms Beach that were upset with certain staff members regarding tipping. They remarked they felt pressurised to tip some hotel personnel for small acts of service, such as handing visitors a towel. Unfortunately, there are some hotel staff members that expect tips whereas others do not.

There were a few complaints regarding the noise from outside the hotel. Some guests stated there is a train that runs right outside the hotel, making it difficult for them to sleep at night.
