With its perfectly preserved city walls, Cittadella is a rare example of a fortified medieval city in the world. Hotel Roma is located in a palace from the 18th century on the main street Via Garibaldi. It is the most ancient hotel in Cittadella and the only one that is within the medieval city walls. Thanks to its unique location, you are guaranteed a wonderful sight of the entire historical structure, from the “heart” of the town. Hotel Roma, classified as a 3-star hotel, has twelve rooms, each with a unique ambience, both for dimension and for structural characteristics. Hotel Roma was restored from an ancient adobe of the 18th century which was completely restructured with great effort taken in maintaining the original architecture. Entering the hotel, the atmosphere of the noble residence is immediately perceived. The “red Asiago” stairs with a vaulted-ceiling, the noble hall, which is now the current reception, with the elegant wooden beams of the 18th century and the Venetian marble flooring are only some examples. Some parts of the wall reveal the building’s original stone structure to remind you of the warm hospitality of times past.
