The Palazzo Grassi is a grand Venetian building dating to the 18th century which has been an art gallery since the 1970s and has recently been refurbished by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. It displays modern art in a very traditional old-Venetian building with classically painted ceilings and interiors. The Palace is open from 10 am to 7 pm seven days a week and entrance fees are 10 Euros for adults and 6 Euros for concessions. The nearest vaporetto stop is San Samuele. There is a bookshop and a cafe on site.
