The four star Riu Garoe in Puerto de la Cruz, north of Tenerife has had some very positive reviews from guests who have stayed here. The hotel is lovely, very clean and comfortable say guests. The food is very good and fairly varied say several guests. The pools and the loungers, free Wi-Fi and other facilities make for a great holiday for families as well as couples. There is a free bus into town and lots of free tea and coffee in the rooms, say guests,
Its service with a smile at the hotel; and nothing is too much trouble for the staff, feel several guests. Obliging and helpful, the people at the reception and the pool attendants have received positive reviews in particular.
The hotel is in a quiet residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy spots which makes it a relaxing holiday destination.
Some guests felt that the evening entertainment laid on by the hotel was a little boring; however there is plenty else to do, so few guests found this to be a major problem.
More guests of German or Spanish origin tend to be found at the Riu Garoe and some UK guests felt a little out of place here.
