Hotel Residence Inn Orlando Altamonte Springs/Maitland (Altamonte Springs, USA)

Guests loved the landscaped courtyard and the BBQ facilities for an open-air meal. The tennis/basketball courts and the sparkling pool were a great hit. The convenient location close to restaurants and malls was highly appreciated. Guests felt that the complex imparted a home-like feel.

Guests found the staff to be pleasant. They seemed to be genuinely happy to welcome the guests; very friendly and helpful. They also gave valuable suggestions, and even coupons for lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Guests found the rooms to be clean and roomy. They appreciated all the in-room amenities, which were very useful. They were happy to sit near fireplaces and watch TV in any room of their choice, as there were three large flat-screen TVs in the suite. They also appreciated the clean, crisp linens, the comfortable bedding and pillows. The windows could be opened to let in fresh air.

Guests noted mildew smell in the room. There was mold on the bathroom walls as well. The rooms where guests stayed with their pets had stained carpets and smell of dog urine. Guests say that the management needs to take a note of this and improve the conditions.

Guests were disappointed with the absence of elevators and a fitness center in the property.

As this is a smoke-free property, there were people smoking outside their rooms and on the steps. This caused a cloud of smoke outside the rooms, making it difficult for the non-smoking guests.
