Guests arriving by air appreciate the ten-minute commute from LAX, while others appreciate the convenience of Target right next door, and Manhattan Village Mall a few blocks away. Healthy travelers don't mind walking to Manhattan Beach (just over a mile, downhill on the way there) though many also note the drive is about five minutes.

The rooms are widely described as clean and comfortable. The "penthouse" suites are particularly spacious, though many seem to feel the word is a bit too grand for the townhouse-style layout with a narrow set of stairs leading up to the bedroom area. The pool area is widely considered inviting and well maintained.

The front desk staff have received many rave reviews for their friendly and professional customer service. Many guests are pleased to report "above and beyond" gestures of hospitality, and the buffet has been described as "above average" for a complimentary breakfast. The evening receptions are also much appreciated.

The parking lot is a bit small for the number of cars, and spaces are not assigned to the rooms, so guests routinely end up parked far from their rooms. Also, the driveway is shared with a car dealership, which makes for fairly frequent "traffic jams" during its business hours.

There is no elevator on the property, and all of the penthouse suites are located on the second floor.

Guests in rooms closest to the car dealership often report noise from delivery trucks as well as the car washing bays, music over the loudspeakers, and so on. Noisy air conditioning and inconsiderately loud young folk in the pool have also been reported.
