Handy University Locale
Ideal for staying in while visiting students at University of Ottawa or renting out during the summer months, these accommodations are clean, adequate and in excellent proximity to Byward Market, Parliament Hill, Rideau Center and the canal. Within easy strolling distance to most attractions of interest, including shopping, restaurants, a bakery, pharmacy, convenient bus stops, and liquor store. The underground parking is a bit difficult to find (rumored to be easier if you take the Laurier Avenue route), and costs extra, but isn't exorbitant. There is also a secure bike room for those in need.

Basic, No Frills Rooms
Clean, decent units with housekeeping service, extended-stay options, and good beds. Kitchenettes are well-supplied with microwaves, refrigerators, sinks, stovetops, dining tables and chairs (you may need to pick up your own silverware, dishes and cups.) Some reported no air conditioning in their room (single rooms - bring a fan); other stated they were cold because of the location of the AC in the unit (suites). Both Wi-Fi and Ethernet internet connections (bring your own ethernet cable) available from most rooms. Lovely views of the sunrise from others.

Rooms and Keys
Some reported their rooms were less than ideal, with uncomfortably soft beds, no pans/pots or dishes/silverware/glassware in kitchenettes, and thin curtains which allowed bright sunlight to flood in early every morning. Extra fans or blankets might be necessary, depending upon the weather during your stay. Some experienced noise disturbances and recommended east-facing rooms for a quieter setting.

Some felt the amenities were tired and housekeeping was not sufficient, complaining especially of stained and unswept floors, dusty surfaces, shared, dirty bathrooms and grimy walls.
