It's a very warm, comfortable, and welcoming feeling checking in and staying at the hotel, thanks in part to the wonderful staff. They're relaxed yet professional, and always happy to help guests make the most of their time in Bali. Having such lovely staff around is one of the reasons that make this place a favorite for returns.

The rooms are cozy and tranquil, and throughout the hotel, there is a low-key, relaxing ambience. You're encouraged to forget about your typical daily routines, and completely indulge in your exotic vacation. The gardens and ponds help evoke enjoying that home away from home feeling.

You get a nice feel for the region while staying at Ramayana Resort & Spa. Notable public parks and shopping markets are nearby, and just observing the area while dining or sitting outside gives you the kind of sentiment that makes this choice a good one.

Some feel that the rooms don't completely live up to their reputation, guest expectations, and pricing. The décor has seen much better days, and isn't as bright and refreshing as thought. A certain sense of excitement is lost at check-in when you see drab conditions.

Unusual smells that aren't very pleasant linger through the resort and affect some of the rooms. The beds are criticized for having hard mattresses and stiff pillows and linens, which create unsatisfactory sleeping.

You may be let down, if you expect a great view upon request. Some views overlook streets, and not the gardens or more scenic ideas than concrete.
