Given that this is a budget hotel, guests are pleasantly surprised by the food. Whether you're tempted by the full English breakfast, served until mid-afternoon, or the authentic Spanish tapas, you'll eat well at this hotel.

With its seafront location in Benidorm's Old Town, the location of the Royal Queen's is a winner. It takes just a few minutes to stroll down to the beach, while there are numerous bars right on the doorstep too.

If you don't fancy partying till dawn, then earplugs are more or less essential for getting anything close to a decent night's sleep. Guests say that the music and entertainment can continue until almost dawn, especially in high season.

There's only limited air-conditioning, and even fans are only provided in the hottest months, so if you like your room cool, you may find it unbearably hot and stifling here. Guests recommend opting for air-con in the summer if you can.

The hotel doesn't have a pool, and is generally not set up for families, with few activities for children and a late-night, party-ready environment. If you're travelling with the kids, this probably isn't the hotel for you.
