It was undoubtedly the location of Porta Faenza that most impressed guests. It was described as incredibly convenient for those arriving or departing by train. Guests could easily walk from the station, so avoiding costly taxi fares. Also, the central sights, from the Duomo to the Ponte Vecchio were said to be within walking distance.
Again and again guests mentioned how lovely the staff at reception were. Considering the tourist onslaught that Florence experiences for much of the year, guests found it refreshing that the staff were very patient with their queries, and always aimed to help as much as they could.
