Hotel Playa Fiesta (Puerto Vallarta, Mexico)

The hotel provides a great place of a relaxing holiday. The grounds which are beautifully maintained are picturesque with ocean views, lots of palm trees, palapas and seating areas.

The rooms are spacious, clean and well presented. The beds are comfortable and the showers hot. Many rooms offer views of the ocean and upgraded rooms also offer terraces with ocean views.

Guests commented that that they were welcomed at the hotel by friendly and helpful staff who did everything possible to make their stay pleasant and memorable. Staff at the on-site restaurant are attentive and efficient and provided a variety of freshly prepared meals.

Some guests felt that the hotel was over priced for the services and amenities offered. Breakfast is not included and the the rooms lack the basic necessity of tea and coffee facilities which guests expected to be included at the premium prices charged. Some guests also commented that the food and drinks offered at the on-site restaurant were expensive and on par with US standards. Some guests were also surprised and displeased that their restaurant bill incurred additional taxes.

Some guests commented that the room lighting is very poor. This was particularly inconvenient for guests attending a wedding who required better lighting to put on their makeup.

The hotel has an ocean but no beach. The beach front is a rocky area with no sand, and guests were unable to lounge on the beach due to this and the lack of deck chairs. Aside from lounging by the pool or walking along the rocky waterfront, there is no entertainment at the hotel or within walking distance.
