Unlike many, more expensive, hotels, the TV’s cable channels are easily accessed. The remote control actually works – and so does the air conditioning and heating. Beds aren’t bad either; clean and very comfortable.

It’s only about 15 minutes from the airport, so that’s a bonus. Eating places like Denny’s and McDonald’s are only a few minutes away – so, actually, the location is really convenient.

There are exceptions to the rule, but members of staff here tend to be extremely friendly and as helpful as they can be within the undisputed confines of the hotel’s facilities.

It’s fair to say that , in the area, you won’t find accommodation much cheaper than this. The price you pay, though, reflects in a dated room which lacks basic essentials such as toilet paper. Towels and other items are of poor quality. All this is understandable. After all, you get what you pay for.

Night-time noise can reach frightening levels, with folk in neighboring rooms shouting at each other. Even if there was any sound-proofing (*there isn’t), it couldn’t begin to cope with these incessant dramas ... no doubt fuelled by drink and drugs.

Maintenance is bad and there are bulbs missing from light sockets. The walls have holes in them, there’s mold in the bathroom and even someone else’s elderly food is in the refrigerator. There IS hot water for showers … if you are prepared to wait the length of time it takes to reach the room.
