This is a non-smoking property which is great if you don’t imbibe and like your accommodations smelling fresh rather than like stale, second-hand smoke.

Many of the guest rooms here are quiet, but if you are looking for a good night’s sleep be sure to ask for a room well-away from the train tracks where the constant noise from passing trains can keep you up at night.

There are times when the guest rooms can be overly hot or overly cold, which is an unpredictable feature of this hotel. Unfortunately, you have no option but to open a window when it’s too stuffy, which might make for a noisy night. And extra blankets are your only option if it’s too cold for you.

The food here is rather pricey, but that’s to be expected when you stay at a hotel with a fine dining restaurant. Luckily, there are other options available in nearby Perth.
