Theme park visitors often said the location of this motel suited them well as it put them in the heart of one of Florida's best-loved holiday destinations. Many area theme parks were conveniently a short drive away. The proximity of Interstate 4 also made it simple to reach beauty spots, golf courses, shopping centres and sports arenas. Furthermore there were petrol stations, convenience stores and bus stops in the vicinity plus dining options. The free parking was also popular.

Although a few guests commented that the motel looked a little dowdy from the outside, many were pleasantly surprised to find the simple rooms were well-kept and more than sufficiently clean and comfortable for a theme park getaway on a budget. The outdoor swimming pool was reportedly inviting too. Budget-minded guests often said they got good value for money thanks to the comparatively affordable room rates.

Critics sometimes claimed they found certain rooms pretty small, especially when fully occupied. Others found it tricky to regulate the room temperature. Off-putting smoky odours were also detected in several rooms.
